USC Pharmacies cares about your health and well-being! All of our pharmacists are certified immunizers and are specially trained to administer the right vaccinations for you. Getting recommended immunizations has never been so easy! No appointment or prescription order is necessary.

One-on-one consultations with an experienced clinical pharmacist are available to help you develop an individualized tobacco cessation plan including methods for coping with withdrawal symptoms as well as medications for nicotine replacement medications. Follow-up visits can help you quit for good.

  • Smoking cessation services are available by appointment only to the general public and USC students.
  • No physician referral is necessary.

Traveling to a foreign country in the near future? Clinical pharmacists with credentials from the International Society of Travel Medicine provide immunizations, medications and travel advice personalized for your itinerary.

A convenient service that offers a one-on-one consultation with a pharmacist to select and prescribe the most optimal form of contraception for you. Whether you are interested in starting or changing your form of birth control, a pharmacist can help you understand your options.

Latent tuberculosis (TB) is a disease which affects your lungs. It is easily spread from person to person in the air and can be very harmful if you develop “active TB.” If your skin test was TB positive, it is likely that your doctor will have you take a medication to help prevent you from developing “active” TB in the future. The Pharmacies at USC can help you understand the risks and benefits of taking this medication.

  • Service is available by appointment only to USC students who have been exposed to tuberculosis (positive PPD or T-spot).
  • Appointments with a clinical pharmacist are available monthly for follow up and side-effect monitoring.
  • Referrals must come from a Student Health Center physician.

Given the rapid rise of opioid overdoses, many state governments including California have responded by allowing pharmacies to provide naloxone to anyone who either uses opioids, or is around someone who uses opioids. This helps caregivers, concerned loved ones, first responders and patients get naloxone more easily without a physician’s prescription.

Do you have a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan? Our pharmacists can help you select the best plan based on your medication list and preferred pharmacy.

Specialized compounded prescriptions can help improve the delivery and absorption of medications within your body, or provide adjusted doses that meet your individual needs.

  • Compounds, including topical products and oral products, can be prepared at the USC Medical Plaza Pharmacy.

Expert pharmacists are available to review your medications to determine if they are optimal for your care, identify any current or potential medication conflict issues and resolve them together with your physician to provide you with the best possible care and health outcomes.

Are you taking Coumadin or warfarin? Our clinical pharmacists manage your INR (international normalized ratio) and adjust your doses with just a quick-and-easy finger stick instead of a blood draw.

  • Service is available by appointment only to patients from the USC Department of Family Medicine who have been referred for management.
  • Call 323-442-5882 and ask for an appointment with the Coumadin clinic for INR management.
