Sherry Cochran, RPh

Before coming to USC, Sherry Cochran worked for many years managing retail and long-term-care pharmacies and also worked as regional manager for a pharmacist temp agency, which gave her opportunities to work in a variety of settings, including ambulatory care, manufacturing and home care. She has worked for USC Pharmacies for more than 20 years.

Sylvia Y. Rodriguez, PharmD

Staff Pharmacist

Sylvia Rodriguez graduated from the USC School of Pharmacy in 1980. She went on to complete an oncology residency at VA in Long Beach. She started her career at USC in 1985 with a position at the UPC Student Health Center Pharmacy and currently works at USC Medical Plaza Pharmacy.

Jay Parikh joined USC Medical Plaza Pharmacy as a staff pharmacist in May 2012 and is very involved in patient care activities as well as mentoring pharmacy school students doing internships and rotations. After work, Dr. Parikh is committed to community service through philanthropic organizations established at the School of Pharmacy.

Elina Baskina re-joined the USC Pharmacy team after completing a residency in community pharmacy at the University of Washington in Seattle. Having worked at USC Pharmacy during her undergraduate and pharmacy school days, she joined USC Medical Plaza Pharmacy and worked alongside her mentors as a clinical pharmacist, providing clinical services such as diabetes management, smoking cessation and LTBI prophylaxis and assisting in mentoring students during their clinical rotations.

Executive Director, Community Pharmacies

Raffi Svadjian leads the daily operations, strategic planning, and administrative oversight for USC Pharmacies. Previously, he served as Senior Director for Keck Medicine of USC Specialty Pharmacy. Svadjian was previously based at USC Medical Plaza Pharmacy, having served as a staff pharmacist there from 2003 to 2012. A 2003 graduate of USC School of Pharmacy, he also holds an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business.

Coordinator, Pharmacy Patient Care Programs; Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy

Edith Mirzaian coordinates various patient care programs, focusing on diabetes, travel health, anticoagulation, and smoking cessation. She holds the Certificate of Knowledge in Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Medicine.

Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy

Richard Dang is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist who works as a clinical pharmacist at the collaborative practice clinics with the USC Pharmacies, including the USC International Travel Health Clinic. He coordinates and provides various patient care programs, including travel health, immunizations, diabetes management, anticoagulation management, smoking cessation, latent tuberculosis management, and medication therapy management. He also serves as a preceptor mentoring students, interns, and residents during their clinical rotations.
