Both locations can receive prescriptions electronically—directly from your provider. Simply tell your provider which USC pharmacy you prefer to use and he/she can transmit the prescription securely. Most of the time, you prescription can be ready before you arrive. You also may bring in your written prescription or have your physician call it in to us.
Paying For Your Prescription
Your insurance copay or the full cost of your prescription can be paid by:
- Cash, credit card or check
- USCard Discretionary Account
What Insurance Do You Accept?
We accept most major insurance plans, including the USC student prescription plan provided by Aetna and the USC Network medical plan provided by Caremark. (Please note that a small group of plans have restricted networks; we can only determine your coverage by processing a prescription with your insurance card.) To inquire about your insurance coverage, visit one of our pharmacies or contact us by phone. You can find our contact numbers at the top of the page.
How do I know when my prescription is ready?
Prescriptions and refills are typically ready 30 minutes after we receive your request. To check the status of a prescription:
- Use our online refill service
- Ask us to call or text you when your prescription is ready.
